The mission of the National Forum of Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) is embodied in the organization’s commitment to strengthen the position of Blacks within the field of public administration; to increase the number of Blacks appointed to executive positions in public service organizations; and, to groom and prepare younger, aspiring administrators for senior public management posts in the years ahead.

What’s in it for You?

When considering joining a professional organization, one may ask themselves: “Why should I belong? What’s in it for me?” NFBPA and the Alexandria Metropolitan Chapter are no exception. Keeping in the heritage of professionals associations, NFBPA answers that question with a question of its own: “That depends. What do you want?"

Take a moment and review some of the many benefits of NFBPA membership.

  • Access to quality, affordable continuing education programs;

  • Abundant networking opportunities through a variety of activities;

  • Opportunities to make a positive impact in the community;

  • Subscriptions to the Forum and other communications that inform of public service trends, issues, employment, and more;
